HPB Oct. Halloween Mani Link-Up

Hi, everyone! I know I’ve been a terrible blogger lately, but I’ve gotten so frustrated with not having a space to take pics or to do anything more than paint on a single color. I’m going to try to fight through it more though!

For today’s post, I have a Halloween mani and link party from the Hobby Polish Bloggers group on Facebook. This group, founded by Steph at Imperfectly Painted, is for non-professional and just-for-fun nail polish bloggers. We use the group for support and feedback, and it’s just a really great environment. The group recently decided to do a monthly feature, and since this is October, this month’s theme is naturally… Halloween! So now, onto the polish!

I started my Halloween mani with a base of two coats of Zoya Genevieve. It’s a bit… jelly-ish, I guess, so it actually could have used three coats. And it dried much darker than the bottle (which is what I’m holding, and I have no idea what’s up with the smokiness either). Anyway, I took Zoya Raven and a small detail brush and painted a spooky scene: a haunted house on my index finger, a dead tree on my middle, and a couple grave stones and bats on my ring finger. I added a bit of grass to all fingers too.

Using Zoya Brooklyn, I added a full moon to my pinky, lights to the house, and some highlights to all my fingers. The moon and house lights also received a coat of Pure Ice Glow in the Dark. I wish that my pictures had turned out better so that you could see the details more clearly. I’m definitely out of practice in that regard.

Be sure to check out all the other Halloween manis in the link below!

That’s all for today! Thanks for looking!
