Grape Swirl Water Marble

Happy Friday! I am so glad that it’s the weekend. So, as a way of using untried polishes, I’ve been using the list randomizer at Random.org to pick polishes for me. (I did it with my last post, too.) Well, this time, I got 2 purples and 2 greens, so I thought grapes. Rather than paint actual grapes on my nails, I decided to do a water marble.

I started with a white base, although I don’t remember exactly which polish it was. For the marble, I used Zoya Gemma, Zoya Tiana, Zoya Haven, and Zoya Zara. Gemma, Tiana, and Zara spread out really well in the water, but Haven was just really uncooperative in that regard (even using filtered, room temp water).

I liked doing the swirly pattern because it seemed easier to get a decent-looking pattern than other designs I’ve tried. I don’t know why the edges look so rough though. It’s weird.

Also, Chalkboard Nails is once again taking on the 31 Day Challenge in September, and, crazy as it seems to me, I was thinking about trying it. Anyone else in?

That’s all for today! Thanks for looking!
