OMD Challenge Day 20 – Jewels

Hi, everyone! I’m going to have four posts going up today (while I still attempt to get caught up with/finish the OMD challenge), so yay for lots of nail art! My mani for the jewels prompt was painted following this tutorial from Chalkboard Nails, which has been in my to-try list forever.

I used Milani Venice, Zoya Elise, Zoya Belinda, and Finger Paints Ball Gown Glamour as my base colors. Following the tutorial, I mixed each color with some of either Sinful Colors Snow Me White or Sinful Colors Black on Black to make the appropriate shade for the section.

I used black acrylic paint to outline the sections and white acrylic paint for the highlights. You know, I used to think that using acrylic paint was cheating, in a way, but it really is so much easier to work with, especially when you’re trying to get fine lines.
