China Glaze Optical Illusion and Devianty Daring

I’m just going to start this off by saying that these polishes were impossible for my photography skills to photograph well. I could not capture the color shift at all, for either polish.

China Glaze - Optical Illusion and Deviantly Daring

Optical Illusion is from the Prismatic collection, which came out earlier this year. The glitters from this collection really, really did not photograph well for anyone, in my opinion. They are much, much better in person. Anyway, Optical Illusion is a multichrome shimmer/ultra fine glitter that shifts from teal green to blue to a fuchsia. It also has multi-colored hex glitter. These polishes weren’t super well-received by a lot of people, but I think they’re really gorgeous. You really have to see them in person!

Deviantly Daring is from the New Bohemian collection and is a teal to blue duochrome. To be perfectly honest, it’s much prettier in the bottle than on my nails. The color shift just isn’t as strong as I would have liked. Because of the chrome-like finish, you also have to be really careful in your application or deal with brushstroke city. It’s a pretty color, just a bit of a letdown.

That’s all for today! Thanks for looking!

  1. I agree about Deviantly Daring. It’s prettier in the bottle…but still a great color.
